The Shuswap offers seven excellent sledding areas: Eagle Pass, Queest Mountain, Blue Lake, Owlhead, Crowfoot Mountain, Fly Hills and Spa Hills. From groomed family trails to steep and deep for the thrill seekers, we have something for everyone. Follow the links for trails and chalets in the area, and our snowmobile trail map.
The Larch Hills cross-country ski area, 20 km from Salmon Arm, has a 125 km trail network covering terrain in the 3500 to 4000 ft range, with about 43 km that are track set.The society maintains a chalet, cabin, and all the trails. There are no trail fees but donations are encouraged to help with expenses, and memberships are very reasonable and practical. The Society hosts a number of events throughout the ski season including Moonlight Lantern and Full Moon Skis, and of course, the renowned Reino Keski-Salmi Loppet, a fun, family-friendly event held on the 3rd Saturday each January.
